Eating Well is Jiu-Jitsu: Banana Smoothie

In one of the posts published here in “Eating Well is Jiu-Jitsu,” we talked about the multiple benefits of banana.  One of the favorite fruits present in many athletes’ routines (from different sports), it is also one of the ones that offers the most health benefits. It fights stress, provides energy, relieves PMS, heartburn, and so on. There are many benefits that this fruit can bring to our health, and it also helps you to avoid the so-dreaded cramps.

bananas_2Banana Smoothie

1 Serving

Ingredients:

1 Ripe Banana, sliced and frozen

160g of natural and skim yogurt

1/2 cup of skim milk

1 tablespoons of oat flakes

1 tablespoon of powdered milk

banana-2-300x3001/2 tsp of natural vanilla extract/essence

4 ice cubes

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients and blend them for 1 minute or more if necessary.
